DTA Puts Tender Out for Whole-of-Government Software Panel

The Digital Transformation Agency (DTA) has formally invited interested parties to submit tenders in response to the Request for Tender for the establishment of a Whole of Australian Government Software Licensing and Services Panel.

The DTA is part of the Digital Transformation Agency and according to tender documents the Federal Government spent more than $364 million in Microsoft licences, including online services, and software assurance between July 2013 and June 2016.

There is a requirement for one or more suppliers to provide MLSP Deliverables to the Commonwealth. In the future the panel will be reopened to add additional suppliers and categories. Dates for any additions are not yet set.

The tender can be viewd on the goverment tender portal and details are available at Australian Tenders. The tender closes on 12 September 2017.

The panel will be accessible by all Commonwealth entities including any incorporated entity over which the Commonwealth or a State or Territory exercises control. The key objective is to ensure ongoing value for money for entities to receive basic and additional value add MLSP Deliverables.
